All the WireArtTutorials designs are made with SOFT (dead soft), round copper wire. NO SOLDERING NEEDED!!! (For this pendant exceptionally I used soft fine silver and sterling silver wires, however I recommend you to use soft copper for the first time).

TOOLS needed: flat nose pliers (or chain nose pliers), round nose pliers & jewelry cutter.

WIRES:
-base wire: 18ga (1mm), 20ga (0.8mm) and 22ga (0.6mm) wires
-weaving wire: 26ga (0.4mm) and 28ga (0.3mm) wires

STONE:
-1 round cabochon between the size 25-35 mm
-small facets or cabochons, beads between the size 3-4 mm, 26-30 pieces, depending of the length of the fins. (I used 26 facets for the copper manta ray, and 30 facets for the silver manta ray).
You can use larger stone as well,adapting the design to the stone, and using longer wires

The design includes different techniques which you can use later in other jewelry designs as well. You will learn several wire wrapping, weaving techniques and cabochon, stone setting. This is a great combination to learn a lot.
